Life Insurance Corporation of India share price ticked higher by 0.13% to Rs 391.5. The Company's net profit tanked by 42.11% to Rs 13584.25 crore, while revenue from operations nosedived 22.68% to Rs 127623.16 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. It has slipped by 4.61% over last one week and softened by 4.81% in last one month while the market capitalization of Life Insurance Corporation of India has softened by 8.32% and 3.41% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of Life Insurance Corporation of India stood at Rs 15312.43 crore in Q2 FY26, jumping 36.07% year-on-year, and rising 6.42% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 12711 crore, rallying 15.10% YoY and expanding by 57.77% sequentially. Total expenses reduced by 14.95% to Rs 225841.43 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 6048.3 crore, plunging by 31.97% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations grew marginally by 9.77% to Rs 5.38 lakh crore, while net profit improved by 18.90% to Rs 57453.15 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA soared by 4913156% to Rs 41852.38 crore, and PBT softened 4.96% to Rs 53475.48 crore compared to previous TTM. Life Insurance Corporation of India nosedived by 12.22% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has slipped by 2.64% during the same period.
